Meet Carly Telfer. In July 2004, after her second year in our biomedical option, Carly was accepted into Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. "Laurentian University and the Biology Department provided me with incredible opportunities, like working for the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and in Dr. Parker's vertebrate physiology research lab, that made my application stand out. I had the time of my life at Laurentian: great setting, friends, professors and classes. I will miss being up on The Rock!" |

Meet Scott Kaufman. After completing his B.Sc. at Wilfrid Laurier University, Scott decided to pursue his M.Sc. at Laurentian. "I wanted to study walleye, and what better place to be than Sudbury, the city of lakes. Laurentian University and the Cooperative Freshwater Ecology Unit provide the best of both fisheries worlds: academic research with resource management. Plus, you just have to cross the street to get to the fish!" |
